Valcor Continues Support of Mechanical Engineering Students at NJIT

Valcor Engineering is proud to support the Morton Kreitchman scholarship for deserving students majoring in Mechanical Engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and has done so since 1998.

Valcor’s continuing involvement with NJIT also includes both a Management Trainee and Engineering internship programs which Valcor developed with the Mechanical Engineering Department and has been ongoing since 2010. As a result of these donations, the donation of laboratory equipment and Valcor’s continuing involvement with NJIT, they also have a laboratory dedicated in Morton Kreitchman’s honor in the Mechanical Engineering department at the Newark campus.

About Morton Kreitchman

Morton A. Kreitchman is the founder of Valcor Engineering Corporation. In 1951, he created his first product, a floating seal valve. His three patents for various fluid control valves grew the company from a Newark loft into an international corporation specializing in valves for the aerospace, nuclear, scientific and light industrial industries. In 1999, he was posthumously inducted into the New Jersey Inventors Hall of Fame.
