Motion Control Slip Clutches & Brakes

Description

Unlike standard rotating shaft clutches and brakes which provide for starting and stopping the motion of a rotary shaft, Slip Clutches and Brakes control the speed and braking force of the output shaft in a motor driven drive train. A metallic disc is drawn or forced axially into engagement with a ring of friction material. Valcor’s TS “friction type” series of Slip Clutches and Brakes are designed as an economical alternative to hysteresis type devices. Valcor offers custom designed solutions for any slip clutch and/or brake.
