Valcor Engineering Corporation

Aircraft

Since 1951, Valcor Engineering has been the industry leader in the design and manufacture of customized fluid control components and systems for fixed-wing and rotorcraft. Our world-class staff of engineers, designers, and support technicians utilize our fully equipped facility designed for the creation, testing, and delivery of quality fluid control components and systems that meet the most precise and exacting standards and industry codes.

We offer best-in-class components and systems for on-board flight applications in fixed-wing and rotary aircraft. Our products include solenoid valves and pressure regulators for fuel and hydraulic systems, cabin pressurization and pneumatic system control. Check, relief and latch valves utilize proprietary technology to provide exceptional performance, durability, and long service life. We also offer custom manifolds using our own, and third-party components.

Solenoid Valves

Our extensive line of 2 and 3-way solenoid valve designs are highly customizable for gas, liquid and hydraulic applications in fixed-wing and rotary aircraft. Many designs use Valcor’s proprietary floating seal design, which provides enumerable benefits over competitive valves. Typical applications include fuel control and firewall shut-off. Solenoid valves are also found in environmental control systems, canopy seal inflation, waveguide pressurization and avionics coolant flow.

Accumulators

Our positive displacement hydraulic accumulators employ novel design features that provide high pressure capability in a lightweight and compact configuration. They are typically used in hydraulic systems found in emergency back-up power and fluid thermal expansion, and are available in piston type or maintenance-free welded bellows designs.

Manifolds

Custom manifolds are no challenge to us. We design complete systems around our components, integrating third-party components as needed. Our manifolds provide turn-key solutions to your fluid control system requirement! Typical applications for manifolds include fuel system management in unmanned aircraft and hydraulic systems in manned and unmanned aircraft.

Pressure Regulators

We offer a family of piston-sensed pressure-reducing regulators in relieving and non-relieving configurations. For extremely low control pressure applications, bellows-sensed absolute pressure regulators are also offered. A wide range of available elastomer and lip seal soft goods ensure maximum compatibility with the process media.

Relief Valves

Designed to protect sensitive pneumatic and hydraulic systems from over pressurization, relief valves crack at the desired pressure, and reseat at a much lower, safer system pressure. Adjustable and preset pressures, with customizable crack to reseat pressure ranges are available, along with an extensive range of pressure and flow capacities. Typical applications include protection of potable water pressurization systems, inert gases used for emergency landing gear blow down systems, and emergency braking systems.

Check Valves

Check valves prevent the backflow of process media in pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Our proprietary technology provides chatter free, stable performance under the most demanding system conditions.

Latch Valves

Latch valves offer bi-stable valve operation. The valve is electrically pulsed open or closed, and utilizes a permanent magnet to maintain the desired operating position, reducing the power requirements in many aircraft applications. Titanium and CRES body material with operating pressures to 10,000 PSIG are available. Latch valves are often used in aircraft environmental control systems including cabin temperature control.

Engine Bleed Air Valves

Engine bleed air is used for several applications onboard an aircraft. Robustly designed for the high temperatures found in this service, our valves provide dependable control over tens of thousands of flight hours. Applications include systems for engine, wing and tail unit anti-icing, potable water pressurization and environmental control. These valves are also used in conjunction with our line of On-Board Inert Gas Generating Systems (OBIGGS) used for inerting the ullage in fuel tanks.

Modulating Control Valves

The MCV performs proportional flow in avionics cooling systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
