Design Features and Benefits
Orifices prevent inadvertent water induction into turbine cylinders by replacing failure-prone steam traps.
Diffusers are made for pump spillback and flow restriction to eliminate the damage that is caused by control valve cavitation.
Silencers greatly reduce steam noise and create a back pressure on the vent valve to reduce wear and tear on the valve.
Venturis require no maintenance and involve no moving parts.
Multi-Stage Letdown Orifices available.

Description

Valcor Engineering presents our family of passive flow control components. Our products include plug resistant orifices, diffusers, diffuser silencers, venturis, and multi-stage letdown orifices.

Application

The plug resistant orifices are used to drain steam and condensate lines in power and process plants. The diffusers are for high pressure drop service, and the diffuser silences are for high pressure service. Venturis are used to limit flow as a direct result of a design basis accident (guillotine break) or as an alternative to an active control loop to control flow for a bypass or recirculation line. Let-down orifices are used to reduce fluid pressure or to restrict the flow rate in pipe work.
