Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for the overall (supplier) quality of the company’s suppliers. This position spans both technical responsibilities and the management of supplier quality with a focus on growing supplier capabilities and managing supplier performance to ensure compliance with Valcor’s requirements.
|Requisite Skills Required||
Work closely with Supply Chain, Product and Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing and Inspection personnel on procedural problems involving design, methods, tooling, costs and other areas involved in the control of product quality. Provide liaison between company and suppliers. Escort/accompany visitors while in building and to off-site test labs to insure conformity with audit procedures and specifications.
|Equipiment / Machinery Used||
Various Quality tools and techniques required, plus the use of calibration tools and guages including CMM and like equipment. Computer equipment and MS Office Suite software (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point).
Lifting up to 25lbs regularly and 50lbs occasionally, pushing, pulling, standing for long periods of time, manual dexterity, visual acuity, and typing. Must Pass necessary Eye Exam.
