Directly supervise the quality control operations through delegation of responsibilities to inspectors to maintain quality of manufactured components and finished products. Assist the Director of Quality Assurance to formulate quality control programs involving the development and design of inspection instruments and devices, application, methods and techniques. Instruct and train personnel in the use of inspection and testing devices, methods and techniques.
|Requisite Skills Required||
|Relationships||Work closely with Product and Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing and Inspection personnel on procedural problems involving design, methods, tooling, costs and other areas involved in the control of product quality. Provide liaison between company and customers and source inspectors. Escort/accompany visitors while in building and to off-site test labs to insure conformity with audit procedures and specifications.|
|Equipment / Machinery Used||Various Quality tools and techniques required, plus the use of calibration tools and guages. Computer equipment and MS Office Suite software (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point).|
|Physical Requirements||Lifting up to 25lbs regularly and 50lbs occasionally, pushing, pulling, standing for long periods of time, manual dexterity, visual acuity, and typing.|
