Reporting to Quality Assurance Manager-Nuclear
Education Required Minimum of 2 years of College, Trade School or equivalent
Experience Required Familiar with ASME Code (Section II, III, V, and IX), NDE (Penetrant Testing), 10CFR50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1, and welding. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and MS Windows. Must be detail oriented and have good communication and organizational skills.
  • Performs components/parts traceability verification before production.
  • Performs commercial grade dedication (CGD) verification of all safety related components released for manufacturing and assembly. Submits materials for testing to outside laboratory and maintains CGD database.
  • Interacts with quality controls personnel on issues related to CGD.
  • Assigns and controls serial numbers for all nuclear valves based on quality control records.
  • Controls customer hold/witness points per developed quality plans and customer requirements.
  • Recommends corrective action to quality problems.
  • Performs verification of documentation and records and releases products for welding.
  • Compiles data packages and certificates per ASME Code and customer requirements. Responsible for filing and retrieval of completed documentation.
  • Prepares regulatory/customer required forms and maintains logs as required.
  • Responsible for filing all QA related documentations.
  • Able to read specifications, drawings, prints, schematics and photographs.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis tools and or equivalent quality training.
  • Must be willing to become NDT technician for penetrant testing (PT).
