VALCOR OPENS A NEW STATE-OF-THE-ART CLEANROOM

Valcor Engineering, a designer and manufacturer of solenoid valves and control components for liquids and gases, is proud to announce the opening of its brand new cleanroom. The new cleanroom will be used for parts cleaning and clean parts bagging.

Valcor’s new cleanroom is a certified ISO 5 or Class 100 controlled cleanroom environment. It utilizes laminar unidirectional flow from ceiling to floor. The ambient air outside in a typical urban environment contains 35,000,000 particles per cubic meter in the size range 0.5 µm and larger in diameter. An ISO 5 cleanroom or class 100 has 3,520 or less 0.5 µm particles in the same measured space.

Cleanrooms limit airborne particles to specified limits, allowing the production of very sensitive materials. Valcor customers can be assured that they are receiving quality materials that meet our new certified standards.

“The construction of this new clean room was both strategic and operational,” states Tom Iervolino, Vice President of Business and Product Development. “The volume growth of our business necessitated we build a larger room and also provided us an opportunity to exceed current customer requirements in anticipation of changes in the market and future minimum standards.”
