Valcor Scientific Offers SV81 High Flow Solenoid Valves for Semiconductor Applications

Springfield, NJ - Valcor Scientific, a Division of Valcor Engineering Corporation, has designed and engineered a rugged, reliable Teflon® solenoid operated 2-way, normally closed valve to handle a wide range of semiconductor and related applications.

Called the SV81 Series, these high flow (Cv = 3.1) Teflon® valves utilize Valcor's unique Dri-Solenoid™ design with a bellows-type diaphragm to isolate the metal operating parts from the fluid being handled. These high flow Teflon® valves are unique, inasmuch as they can handle a wide range of caustic solutions which frequently corrode valves made from stainless steel and other materials.

The SV81 Series is particularly suited for semiconductor and related electronic component applications since they demand the highest purity in a valve, and frequently work with such media as ultra pure water and other specialty solutions. Suitable for a variety of valve and switching applications, wafer producing equipment, processing waters both in-plant and in treatment facilities, the SV81 is constructed of virgin TFE Teflon®, which combines the high flow capability plus compatibility with a wide range of harsh fluids.

Three models are available in the SV81 Series, which can handle inlet, pressures and outlets.

Other features of Valcor Scientific's SV81 Series include:

  • Direct acting design

  • No minimum pressure is required for operation

  • 40 PSIG liquid pressure capability

  • Optional fume resistant enclosure is available
