Summary

Manages all activities related to training and educational programs for the company. Creates and implements training programs and oversees employee development for the organization. Studies and identifies individual or group training needs, and administers plans, procedures, and programs to meet these training requirements. Develops performance metrics, sets learning objectives for training programs and develops programs that enable individuals to perform current and future jobs. Help employees establish individual development plans and create long-term career paths within the organization.

Essential Functions
  • Evaluates employee training and development needs and plans training programs to address these requirements.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors training programs within the company.
  • Creates testing and evaluation processes, to determine the effectiveness of training programs, to ensure training programs produce desired results.
  • Establishes and manages the annual training budget.
  • Conducts orientation sessions and supervises technical training for staff.
  • Creates brochures and training materials.
  • Develops visual aids and presentations.
  • Provides the company with classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.
  • Builds solid cross-functional relationships.
  • Provides logistical support, course development, delivery, evaluation, process measurements, and cost management.
  • Meets agreed upon goals and objectives in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • BS/BA in Human Resources or related field. MBA degree a plus.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in identifying and facilitating effective training programs in technical, operations and soft skills areas.
  • 5-7 years of training and/or H. R. Management experience, in companies where technical, operations and management skills are critical.
  • Ability to become a “business partner” and trusted resource for Department Heads in the company’s key business areas.
  • Ability to perform in a fast paced, team environment.
