Summary Applies engineering principles to design, modify, or develop test stands, equipment, and test processes for specific projects. Coordinate and conduct actual tests for fluid control systems and products.
Essential Functions
  • Applies engineering principles to design, modify, or develop test stands, equipment, and test processes for specific projects.
  • Conducts analytical engineering studies on proposals to develop tests for fluid control systems and other products.
  • Plans, schedules, and tests hydraulic and pneumatic control systems and components.
  • Designs setups for hydraulic systems testing.
  • Selects the proper equipment and instrumentation, plus lays out test facilities.
  • Uses data acquisition software and equipment.
  • Translate military and aerospace requirements to working procedures.
  • Develops requests for quotes and monitors offsite testing.
  • Evaluates engineering test data during development and qualification testing.
  • Creates comprehensive test procedures and prepares detailed test reports.
  • Meets agreed upon goals and objectives in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • BS Degree in Engineering, Strong preference for Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Knowledge of Fluid Control Component Systems such as Valves, Regulators, Pressure Vessels.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to assemble and support test setups and testing.
  • Advanced Degree or experience in test engineering is advantageous.
  • Understanding of data acquisition software.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current knowledge of engineering and technical publications to help keep abreast of technological changes and developments in industry.
  • Ability to perform in a fast paced, “hands-on” environment.
